Dr. Mackenzie King Platt

Dr. Mackenzie King Platt is more than just a dentist—she’s a passionate healthcare professional dedicated to creating confident, comfortable smiles for her patients in Lakeville, MN. A proud graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Dr. Platt has been transforming dental experiences since 2003.

Her journey in dentistry began with a simple yet powerful mission: to help people feel proud of their smiles and at ease during dental visits. In 2007, she took the bold step of opening Platt Dentistry from scratch, building a practice founded on compassion, skill, and genuine patient care. Her greatest joy comes from those moments when nervous patients leave her chair saying, "That was so easy"—a testament to her gentle approach and exceptional clinical care.

What truly sets Dr. Platt apart is her approach to both dentistry and team building. She leads a close-knit team that is more than just professional colleagues; they are genuine friends who enjoy each other’s company both in and out of the office. This warm, supportive environment translates directly into the patient experience, making dental visits something to look forward to rather than fear.

When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Platt enjoys a rich life filled with outdoor adventures. She loves spending time with family on Wisconsin trails, enjoying side-by-side rides, and warming up by bonfires. A die-hard Gopher football fan, she’s always ready to cheer on her team (except when they’re playing the Badgers—then she hopes for a tie). Recently, she’s been challenging herself by learning to golf, adding another exciting chapter to her personal pursuits.

Dr. Kyndra Weber

Dr. Kyndra Weber earned her undergraduate degree in Nutrition Science and Psychology from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln before completing dental school at the University of Iowa. She has been practicing dentistry since 2019, working in two other offices before joining the team at Platt Dentistry.

Dr. Weber's passion for dentistry centers on building genuine relationships with her patients while individualizing their care for optimal oral and systemic health. She strives to help every patient achieve their dental goals by ensuring they feel confident, valued, and heard every step of the way. She takes pride in how intentionally the Platt Dentistry team pours into its relationships with patients and with one another, and considers herself lucky to be part of such a caring, professional group.

Outside the office, Dr. Weber is busy cheering on her four kids at their sporting and school events. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, exploring local restaurants, shopping, reading, staying active in her church community, indulging in anything coffee-related, and planning new house projects. Her superpower (or survival tactic, with four young kids) is organizing: she has a place for everything and isn't shy with the label maker. She's also an avid sports and college volleyball fan. Go Huskers!

Jill

RDH - Dental Hygienist

Jill brings a compassionate and skilled approach to dental hygiene at Platt Dentistry. With nearly two decades of experience in the field, Jill has been an integral part of our team since 2017, offering patients a calm and reassuring presence during their dental visits.

A graduate of Herzing College, Jill became a dental hygienist in 2005, driven by her lifelong appreciation for dental care and her desire to help people. Her approach is characterized by attentive listening and a gentle demeanor that helps patients feel at ease during their appointments.

As part of the Platt Dentistry team, Jill appreciates the practice's balance of efficiency and camaraderie. Her colleagues are not just work partners but friends who enjoy spending time together inside and outside the office.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Jill is an active individual who finds joy in a variety of outdoor activities. She loves hiking, biking, snowshoeing, and traveling. When she's not caring for patients, Jill indulges her creative side through her passion for home design, showcasing a talent for creating beautiful and functional spaces.

Wendy

RDH - Dental Hygienist

Wendy has been a dedicated dental hygienist since 2008, bringing a warm and compassionate approach to patient care at Platt Dentistry. A graduate of Argosy University, her journey in dentistry was inspired by her own transformative experience as an orthodontic patient.

Reflecting on her personal dental history, Wendy was deeply influenced by staff who made her feel welcomed and valued during her orthodontic journey. This experience motivated her to enter a field that often feels intimidating for many patients. Her primary mission is to create a home-like environment where every patient feels special and comfortable.

As a hygienist, Wendy enjoys getting to know her patients and their families. She approaches each interaction with a genuine desire to build connections and make dental visits a positive experience. Her ability to create a welcoming atmosphere helps patients who might otherwise feel anxious about dental care.

Outside of the dental office, Wendy embraces a diverse range of interests. She's an enthusiastic shopper and surprisingly enjoys working in the yard—a hobby she finds uniquely satisfying. Her life took an unexpected turn when she married a farmer, leading her to learn skills she never anticipated, like driving tractors and feeding cows.

Katelyn

RDH - Dental Hygienist

Katelyn brings a passionate and educational approach to dental hygiene at Platt Dentistry. A graduate of Argosy University, she has been dedicated to the dental field since 2012, driven by a longstanding interest in oral healthcare that began during her high school job shadowing experience.

As a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH), Katelyn's primary mission is patient education. She takes great pride in teaching patients about oral hygiene and providing practical strategies to improve their home care routines. Her commitment goes beyond cleaning teeth—she aims to empower patients with knowledge that can transform their dental health.

Katelyn is an integral part of the Platt Dentistry team, appreciating the collaborative spirit where every team member shares a unified goal of exceptional patient care. Her approach is professional and compassionate, ensuring patients feel supported and informed during dental visits.

When she's not caring for patients, Katelyn leads an active lifestyle. She enjoys working out, reading, and unwinding with true crime podcasts. Her unique hobby is her dedication to Peloton workouts, bringing the same energy and commitment to her fitness routine that she brings to her professional work.

Christine

Licensed Dental Assistant

Christine has been an integral part of Platt Dentistry since the very first day the practice opened, bringing an infectious energy and compassionate spirit to the dental team. With over 25 years of experience in dental assisting, Christine began her career in 1997 and has worked alongside Dr. Platt since 2007.

A graduate of Century Community College in White Bear Lake, MN, Christine found her true calling in the medical field. Her upbeat attitude and sunny personality are her hallmarks, creating a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. She takes particular joy in connecting with patients, listening to their family stories, and watching the children in the practice grow up over the years.

Christine's approach to dental assistance is deeply personal. Her caring heart and goal to ensure every patient leaves with a smile make her an exceptional member of the Platt Dentistry team. Her commitment to patient comfort and positive experience shines through in every interaction.

When she's not at the dental office, Christine enjoys a variety of leisure activities. She loves listening to audiobooks, watching biographies, solving word search puzzles, and catching sports events. In her unique way of relaxing, she finds great pleasure in taking naps – a skill she's perfected over the years.

Rachel

Dental Assistant

Rachel is a new addition to the Platt Dentistry team, joining the practice in May 2024 as a dental assistant. Currently pursuing her degree in dental hygiene at Minnesota State University, Mankato, Rachel brings enthusiasm and a commitment to ongoing professional development to her role.

Her journey into the dental field was inspired by a desire to help people and make a meaningful impact in healthcare. After shadowing at a dental office, Rachel discovered her passion and professional calling. As a dental assistant, she approaches her responsibilities with a reliable, kind, and friendly attitude that puts patients at ease.

Rachel appreciates the warm and familial environment at Platt Dentistry, where the team feels more like a big family than simply coworkers. Her caring nature and positive attitude contribute to the practice's welcoming atmosphere, making her an excellent fit for patient care.

When she's not assisting patients or studying, Rachel leads an active and creative life. She enjoys walks, hikes, shopping, watching movies, and spending time at the lake. Her unique hobby involves artistic and innovative projects, mainly restoring and painting furniture—showcasing her creative talents beyond the dental office.

Claire

Dental Assistant

Claire joined the Platt Dentistry team in August 2025, but you could say her dental roots go back much further than that. In a fun twist of fate, Claire’s mother and Dr. Platt were actually classmates and friends in dental school. Since Claire was born while her mother was still in the program, she and Dr. Platt love to joke that they "attended dental school together!"

A graduate of St. Lawrence University in upstate New York, Claire was drawn to dentistry after shadowing in the field. She was struck by the unique opportunity dental professionals have to build genuine, lasting relationships with patients—a level of consistency and connection she found missing in other areas of healthcare.

As a Dental Assistant, Claire is known for her bright, approachable presence. Whether she is diving into the technical "ins and outs" of a complex procedure or jumping in to help her teammates, her goal is always to put patients at ease. She truly values the "family" atmosphere at the office, where laughter is a daily staple.

When she isn’t chatting with patients about their passions and life stories, Claire is almost certainly embracing the outdoors. She is an avid runner, mountain biker, and skier—covering both cross-country and alpine trails.

To unwind, she enjoys the focused calm of paint-by-number projects while catching up on her favorite podcasts.

Meghann

Treatment Coordinator

Meghann is the newest addition to the Platt Dentistry team, joining the practice in 2024 as a treatment coordinator. A University of Wisconsin Stout graduate, she brings a fresh and enthusiastic approach to patient care and treatment scheduling.

As a Treatment Coordinator, Meghann plays a crucial role in helping patients navigate their dental treatment plans, ensuring smooth scheduling and communication. Her friendly demeanor and organizational skills make her an excellent resource for patients as they plan their dental care.

What makes Meghann's story even more special is her long-standing friendship with Dr. Platt. The two have been friends since first grade, bringing a deeply personal connection to her role at Platt Dentistry. Their shared history adds an extra layer of warmth and trust to the practice.

Outside of work, Meghann is an active individual passionate about sports and travel. She loves biking, walking, working out, and is an avid baseball fan. Her most unique hobby is her mission to visit all Major League Baseball stadiums, turning her love for the sport into an exciting personal quest.

Bobbie

Administrative Professional

Bobbie has been an essential part of the Platt Dentistry team since April 2019, bringing a wealth of administrative experience to the practice. A graduate of Herzing College, she has worked in the dental field since 2007, driven by her long-standing interest in the medical profession.

As an administrative professional, Bobbie plays a crucial role in keeping the practice running smoothly. Her passion for her work is evident in her appreciation for the team, which she describes as an exceptional group of ladies who work together seamlessly. Her collaborative spirit and warm personality make her a beloved member of the Platt Dentistry family.

Outside of work, Bobbie is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys side-by-side rides, embracing the beauty of nature and adventure. She has a unique and creative hobby of decorating her home for each holiday and season, bringing joy and festivity to her living space.

A fun and unexpected fact about Bobbie is that she is a butcher's wife—a detail that adds an interesting dimension to her personal story and highlights the diverse backgrounds of the Platt Dentistry team.

Amy

Administrative Professional

Meet Amy, our warm and welcoming administrative professional at Platt Dentistry. A proud graduate of St. Catherine University, Amy brings enthusiasm and dedication to our front desk, where she delights in connecting with patients throughout the day. One of her favorite aspects of working at our Lakeville dental practice is catching up with fellow high school alums who come in for appointments.

When she's not ensuring our office runs smoothly, Amy keeps active with pickleball and cherishes time spent with her grandchildren. As a recent empty nester, she and her husband embrace this new chapter by exploring fresh interests and hobbies together. If you spend a few minutes chatting with Amy, she'll likely find a way to mention her impressive achievement of completing a marathon – a story she never tires of sharing!

A fun fact about Amy is that she's actually Dr. Platt's sister-in-law, making her connection to our practice even more special. During the holiday season, you might catch her quoting lines from her favorite movie, "Christmas with the Kranks," adding to the cheerful atmosphere she helps create at Platt Dentistry.

Amber

Insurance Coordinator

Amber handles all things insurance at Platt Dentistry. Her role includes verifying coverage and benefits, obtaining pre-treatment estimates, and providing clear cost estimates before treatment begins. Her work gives patients financial clarity up front, helps them get the most out of their benefits, and removes the burden of navigating insurance processes on their own.

Amber holds a Marketing Management degree from the University of St. Thomas as well as a two-year Interior Design degree. She originally joined Platt Dentistry when Dr. Platt asked for short-term help covering the front desk and stayed on after the coordinator returned.

What Amber enjoys most about the team is how much fun they have together and the fact that all team members help each other when needed. She believes it is the people you work with that make a huge difference. The Platt Dentistry team creates an experience where patients feel valued and cared for.

Outside the office, Amber and her family love traveling to National parks. She is especially detail-oriented researching accommodations and activities to make every trip memorable. A self-described minimalist, she chooses quality over quantity every time.
